Privacy Policy
LEGAL · LAST UPDATED SEPTEMBER 16, 2026
In plain English: Grunz runs on YOUR computer. Your prompts, files, conversations, and everything the app generates stay on your machine and never touch our servers. The only information we handle is what's needed to sell you a license.
01 ·Summary
Grunz is a self-hosted desktop application. It runs locally on your device and connects directly to the model providers and services you choose, using your own credentials. Because we are not in the path of your usage, we cannot see your activity or your data. The narrow exception is the limited information we need to sell you a license and provide support, which this policy describes below.
02 ·What We DON'T Collect
Grunz does not collect, receive, store, or have access to any of the following:
- Your prompts, chats, or conversations
- Your files, code, or documents
- Images or other content the app generates
- Model outputs of any kind
- Your API keys, endpoints, or provider credentials
- Usage data, telemetry, or analytics from within the app
This information stays on your machine (and travels only between your machine and the third-party providers you choose). The app does not transmit any of it to Grunz.
03 ·What We DO Collect
We collect only the limited information needed to process a purchase and deliver a license:
- Your email address — so we can send you your license key.
- Payment and transaction information — a cryptocurrency payment is recorded on a public blockchain. In connection with your order we may store a record of the order, including the wallet or transaction reference, the coin used, the amount, and the license key we issued.
We may also use minimal, privacy-respecting website analytics to understand aggregate traffic to our website (for example, general page-view counts). This is aggregate and non-identifying, and it is not connected to your use of the app.
04 ·How We Use It
We use the limited information described above to:
- Deliver your license key and fulfill your purchase;
- Provide customer support and resolve license issues;
- Prevent and investigate fraud and abuse;
- Meet our legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations.
05 ·Third Parties
A few third parties are involved in the narrow process of selling you a license:
- Cryptocurrency networks — blockchain transactions are public and outside our control.
- An email delivery provider — used to send your license key to the email address you provide.
- Your chosen model and compute providers (for example, Featherless) — these are services you connect to directly from the app. They have their own privacy policies, and we do not control them or receive data from them.
We do not sell your personal information.
06 ·Data Retention
We retain purchase and license records for as long as needed to provide support, maintain our business records, and comply with legal obligations. Where applicable law gives you the right, you may request deletion of the limited personal data we hold (see Your Rights below); note that some records may need to be retained to meet legal or accounting requirements, and blockchain records are permanent and cannot be altered or deleted by anyone.
07 ·Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the limited information we hold. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the handling of your information is provided without warranty, as further described in our Terms of Service.
08 ·Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of the limited personal data we hold about you. To make a request, email support@grunzai.com. We will respond as required by applicable law. Please note that these rights and how they apply vary by jurisdiction, and some data (such as public blockchain records) is outside our ability to change or remove.
09 ·Children
Grunz is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10 ·Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the website or the Software after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
